New Updates to My Commissions Page

1 min read

Over the years, creating custom stained-glass pieces has become one of the most meaningful parts of my work. Every commission is a story — a collaboration between your vision and my craft — and I wanted my Commissions page to reflect that. I recently updated the entire section so you can clearly see how the process works from start to finish.

The page now walks you through the full journey of a custom piece, beginning with the initial consultation. This is where you can share sketches, photos, themes, colors, or simply an idea you’ve been imagining. From there, you’ll find an overview of how site measurements work, whether you prefer to take your own or schedule a site visit. I’ve included the exact visit fees and details so you know what to expect before we begin.

The design phase is also explained more clearly now. Once the measurements are confirmed, I create a custom design based on your vision. After you approve the design, I prepare color samples so you can see the exact glass palette before fabrication begins. Nothing moves forward until you’re completely happy with both the design and the colors.

I’ve also added a detailed breakdown of pricing structure, the deposit process, what fabrication involves, and how delivery or shipping is handled. Many people don’t realize the steps involved in cutting, shaping, foiling, leading, soldering, cleaning, and framing each piece of glass — so I wanted to share that part of the journey as well.

Lastly, the page now includes a simple form where you can tell me about your project, the size of your window or installation space, and the type of commission you’re looking for. Once you submit it, I’ll review your information and reach out with the next steps.

If you’ve been thinking about commissioning a stained-glass artwork for your home, sanctuary, or a special space, I invite you to explore the updated page. Your project begins with a single idea, and I would be honored to bring it to life.
